A Different Point Of View
Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,
Today we were talking about maps and The Eldest Mini Princess mentioned the UK always being in the middle of the world map. The Prince explained that this is just a throwback to colonial times but that there are different world maps - Russia and China are at the centre of their own world maps and there are also other continent centred maps.
I swear it was like we had told her that everything in her life had been a lie. She was genuinely flabbergasted. It took Google to confirm that this was not a prank on our part.
Once I had checked that she knows that the Earth is a sphere*, The Prince and I couldn’t stop laughing. I was worries that the ‘South Up’ view might send her straight to therapy.’
I might not tell her that numbers don’t actually exist and they are just a concept!
C
*was slightly worried that she had joined the flat earth society
