As I’ve been heading back and forth this week I’ve been watching all the valleys fill up and as I left Cockermouth this evening the inconsequential Dubwath Beck had made its presence felt and taken over and I’d hoped to get a photo of Bassenthwaite which had completely filled up and looked like a huge inland sea coming right up to the A66 but it was too dark as I headed past.
