"Poor Amaryllis"

Lovingly planted for mum a few weeks ago. Me n dad have watched with interest and anticipation... would it be red, peach, cream, three flowers, four, would it grow any taller.. each day we gave mum an update on its progress, watered it, turned it, talked to it, dads even sung to it a few times !!!

Last night it started to open and as a result toppled over and this is the result, we wondered how we were going to cope. Dad said we won't have anything to talk about now "the plant" is no more. Could we have done more, did we make mistakes. Was it not happy ??

"We'll have to sing more instead !!"
