Nest

An early brood and unorthodox nesting spot for this Mistle Thush, in a spot that I pass on my walk from the station into work.

This carefully selected location is on a traffic island away from foot traffic but it is a very busy spot both for traffic and, on the side of the road I was standing on, pedestrians. The gaping maws of the chicks can be seen in the extra.

I may try for a better picture next week if they're still around, but for now a long weekend with some half-term duties beckons.
