Au revoir

Unfortunately, our lovely weekend in Nice had to come to an end.

We finished well with our final four course breakfast then headed off for a final walk along the promenade and a bit of browsing around French supermarkets (is there anything better?!) looking for gifts. Our final adventure in Nice was getting the tram to the airport, only fully opened in December last year. Whizzing past the city in the sunshine was a nice way to end the trip.

Unfortunately we arrived home to winds and rain and got a proper soaking on the way to the car. I suppose we can’t complain, knowing that everybody else has had to endure it for the weekend.

My takeaway from this most wonderful weekend: always try a get a bit of February sun!
