Male Goosander

Not many birds on the loch this morning ..... the weather was so awful I don't blame them for sheltering on the island. I did spy this solitary goosander but as I neared the car park end of the loch I spotted two females and another male. I usually prefer to photograph the female but in the very dull conditions the grey feathers on the female merged beautifully with the water.

I was hospital visiting this afternoon and thought I would be home much sooner than five past six but the road conditions and the traffic were awful.

I've had a quick tea and just enough time for a cuppa before I head out to the choir.
