Border crossings
Today we returned to Liberia. The photo shows the frontier between Liberia and Guinea. The border crossing was straightforward and all officials were very friendly. I hope to return to Guinea soon, with a bit of french under my belt.
We arrived in good time in Monrovia and took a back road to drop a colleague at the airport on the way. Everyone kept referring to the Firestone road. Turns out literally this road cuts through hundreds of acres of rubber plantations for Firestone, the tyre making company. Rubber is one of the largest industries in both Liberia and Guinea.
