It happened again

Very wet and windy, went to bed about 11 and woke around 3 still with rain falling. When I looked out the front of the house I could see the street was flooded and a stream of water running down the side. No power and the garden was flooded so we took the pup and her bed upstairs for safety and tried to sleep, without success but the pup slept until 7 and then I had to carry her out and down the street where it was dry. She really doesn’t like the stream running past the front door.
Power back on this afternoon and wellingtons no longer required. Unfortunately had to cancel dinner at friends as were a bit concerned to leave the house and pup this evening.
