Ready. Set.

Registered and now settled in, about to eat a big pre-run dinner at a very nice hotel just ten minutes walk from Fushimi Inari. I took a wander around there earlier. Last year I stayed at an awful, tiny old ryokan and got about three hours sleep because the family next door came in at about 10 pm and then their kids played tag up and down the stairs all night. This place is clean, modern and quiet with all mod cons. Perfect!
