All ready ...
For Valentine's night dining.
I'd planned to go up to the village to take some nighttime pictures on this Valentine's night, but just as it was dark enough, the forecast drizzle arrived. Squally rain that covered my lens relentlessly. I only stayed for about 10 minutes and grabbed these shots of two popular 'eateries' in the village. Don't think anyone will be dining 'al fresco' tonight!
My girls waitressed through their teens and worked in most of our local pubs and restaurants (always good to get inside info on which kitchens were the cleanest!). They used to hate Valentine's night and the ridiculous commercialism of it all. It was hard work - all those tables for two! They are cynical to this day ...... Poor scarred girls!
We had a good workout last night at cardio tennis, that, combined with waiting up to see that Hayley and family had arrived safely for their holiday in Norfolk made me oversleep. I woke up at 7.50, which is late for me. The rest of the day was pretty ordinary. Dry and not too muddy training with Ali, she did some good work. In fact, one manoeuvre, which isn't her favourite, she executed so well I forgot the course!
