Remnant of Storm Brendan
This huge oak tree was blown over during storm Brendan last month. It crashed right through a garden wall and fell between two houses which was very lucky for the folk whose property it landed in. The size of trees like this amazes me when you see them on the ground with their branches spread around them. It took quite a bit of clearing and the wall it went through is still to be rebuilt, I’m fairly sure there will be a dispute between the council who owns Cairnhill Woods and the home owner. There’s an extra of a view of the Campsies from the cemetery today. It’s lovely having daylight to walk Breesha after work.
