Carlisle City of Lights.

Carlisle was holding a Festival of lights" for the first time.  We decided that we would have a look partly because we feel it is good to support such things and of course looking for a blip.

So we visited a garden centre then when for a meal.  By this time it was getting dark, so we wandered into town to look at the lights away from the Cathedral where the main event was to be held.  They weren't as impressive as we had hoped but it is the first year so allowances must be made.

After a coffee we headed to the cathedral where we had tickets for a 7:45 entrance.  Things began with a 15 minute presentation entitled "SPACE: God, the universe and everything".   This was created by Luxmuralis and inspired by the Moon landing.  It combine visual effects and music.  After that we wandered round various parts of the cathedral where there were other light shows.   This is a view in a side aisle.
