A rare beast

Wish I'd got a better shot, this is GT40 prototype number 5. Cars 1 and 2 were written off, Cars 3 and 4 are in the USA and so this beautiful car is the oldest running GT40 in the UK, valued at around £10M. Extra of an Invicta which is also a very rare beast.

I had great fun volunteering to help run the track day and keep a constant stream of cars flowing to collect beneficiaries for laps round the full F1 circuit at Silverstone. I think drivers and beneficiaries all had a good time. It was great to catch up with some familiar faces and see how they were getting on.
