Poor Dawg!
Poor Bobby. Not only does he have the daily Indignity of having his nose rubbed by all and sundry while they make a wish, now he has a pack of balloons strung round his neck like some white rubber snood. The reason for this festooning of his statue is unclear. One of balloons appeared to say ‘let there be light’. On reflection, they might have been more appropriately placed around the neck of David Hume the Philosopher outside the High Court.
It’s Porty daughter’s birthday today. It’s half a century since that snowy day in Glasgow when she decided to arrive and a long time since she celebrated her birthday back in Scotland. She appears to be another being in receipt of a balloon, thanks to her colleagues. I have awarded her the honour to be the extra of the day
