Shifting Sand!

Over the late autumn and into early winter the Elie sand builds up against the walls and even blocks part of the main pathway down to the beach,

The digger was down on the beach this afternoon clearing the lane and levelling the area between the lane and the breakwater where the greatest pile ups happen.

We are approaching half term so although many folk will be walking on the beach I don't expect many will plan to spread the rug and have a picnic on the sand.
