Playtime!!

I was feeling so bogged down with this latest painting....so i decided to step away completely for a few days and do something else.  

I took a large piece of paper, divided it with tape into 4 squares...and went wild with mark making and kept to a limited palette of red, blue, white and black.   It was very freeing, not having a need for it to 'work'....then it needed a bit of contrast so i took a yellow oil stick....they are so amazing...this one is transparent yellow...so it filled in the white spaces but also modified the other colours.
