...and then several come along at once

I have had a couple excursions down to the Don to look for Dippers but without any luck. I think that the floods last November must have made the water too high for them and they moved off. I thought I'd try one of our other rivers today and had much better luck. I found one Dipper nest building and another further downstream. I also got my first view of the year of a Kingfisher, which flashed past. There were a couple of Goosander on one of the dams and this redhead sat serenely on the water. I'm splashing out on a few extras today - another image of the redhead, the Dipper and a Grey Wagtail
