Pretty dial

This dial belongs to a carriage clock that came in today.  The decoration immediately reveals that it is French late nineteenth century, confirmed by the fact that it has a cylinder rather than a lever escapement. The cylinder escapement is less accurate.  I visited a client this morning who I will sign off on my next visit.  I called in at ChipsAway on my way home as the new car has been scratched. It is not too serious a blemish but, as it is a lease car, it will be chargeable when I return the car.  I am hoping the lady who did it will pay up!
