Tiny Tuesday - Overlooked
Out amongst the spiky green leaves of the Holly Tree outside my study window there are two red berries. There were thousands of them, but of course winter's hungry mouths came a-flitting by. Fieldfares, robins, blackbirds, magpies... they've all had their fill. But somehow these two were overlooked.
What isn't overlooked - I'm not that brave - is today's minor celebration. It's thirty one years ago I went down on one knee. It still aches. Perhaps most don't remember the actual engagement, and we've twenty months to go for the pearl ear rings, but we still have the cork with the 10p piece. I've blipped it twice, to do it again would seem a little effusive.
Anyhow, it's a red letter day in America this week (on Friday) to raise awareness of heart disease, established by the American Heart Association and National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute in 2002. We have heart disease over here too, so why not go red on Tiny Tuesday 245.
