Belfast horizon
I was back to my watercolour class today but unfortunately made a bit of a hames of the sky in this painting, which is why one third of the whole picture has been cropped!
I did what one should never do when painting with watercolours, I went back (upwards) to fiddle with an area of sky, resulting in great big areas of ‘cauliflower bloom’. I won’t do that again (the tutor did warn us not to do that, but hey-ho, some of us never listen). The painting is of the Lough foreshore and two iconic cranes, Samson and Goliath, that dominate the Belfast Harbour skyline.
This afternoon I have an appointment with a treadmill in our local hospital for a cardiac stress test - eek! Will report back....
