Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Try anything once...

JR went off to see 1917, on my recommendation (oh, and BAFTA's). Archie and I went for a walk, but as usual with my dog walks, they have to involve at least a coffee, with, as a bonus, a scone. So I went to the newly discovered one, not too many steps away (5,519).

But I had an ulterior motive. I'd spotted a place that claims to tone and build up muscles in weekly 20 minute session. It's called EMS, I checked it out online, and thought it was worth popping in to enquire further. Yes, they have older people using it, people with back problems as well as fit young people. The staff member I spoke to has sciatica, and this helps ease it. I decided it was worth going for a trial session. Though JR is somewhat sceptical...

I then popped in to the cafe for a coffee and scone. Archie reluctantly came in, and went through his usual embarrassing routine when I eventually got up to leave - yipping, pulling my coat, nipping my ankles. It has to be a speedy operation, easier with two of us.

Home to binge on more Office episodes. Most amusing.
