Crusty

I found this small branch with encrusted with a Crust Fungus. Apparently (provided I've interpreted my books correctly) it likes oak and is fairly uncommon.  It also made for a great subject for focus stacking while trying out my EOS-S 60mm lens on the Olympus.  The adapter only allows the lens to be used wide open (f2.8), and the M43 sensor gives a 120mm full frame equivalent, so I needed a stack of 18 shots to get this image - even then I made the cardinal photographer's sin of not checking the edges, so they are out of focus!
