Greens and purple

Every so often we see a different ‘light’ in the garden, the colours glow for a few minutes, difficult to describe. This morning we both spotted it at the same time, the lichen on the trees and purple shade on the birch looked very pretty. wonder what causes this glow to effect the colours like this.
