De-icing

Came home today: Les Houches - Geneva - London Gatwick - Home. Geneva airport was chaos, several days worth of delayed passengers trying to get on planes. Fortunately, the gate opened on time for our flight. Unfortunately, we were at the wrong end of the longest queue in Geneva. One very quiet announcement told us to get to the check-in immediately or else - so we did. Some brisk and stressful maneuvering found us on a bus waiting for 30 mins to get on the plane then about an hour before we could take-off. Still - we were much more fortunate than many aspiring flyers.

At Gatwick Anton, our taxi-driver, braved the elements and picked up Mavis, Bob and we Soups. Sally, Richard and Mary made their own way home.

A great holiday. We were impressed with Oliver's skills in our previous visit, but this time he excelled as a guide, motivator, and comedian. Elaine's cooking was top quality; three delicious courses every evening and we loved the home made cake waiting for us on our return, after a hard day out. You can get a taste Chalet Savoy here.

PS - it's a bit cold at home - after several hours we are still in our duvet-coats, waiting for the heating to warm the house!
