Celtic Connections Day One

Shot up the East Coast again this morning, met WonderA at Waverley and skipped over to Glasgow for a Celtic Connections mini adventure.

First, to the Fruit Market to see Nitin Sawhney’s band of brothers (mostly sensational sisters actually) recreate his 20 year old heroic world drum‘n bass album ‘Beyond Skin’, with themes as apposite in these dark times as in ‘99. We all ate it up and were sad to see them leave the stage.
A memorable concert.

As you know, WonderA abhors a vacuum, so the AirBnB we had booked...arid, plastic and devoid of spirit...didn’t go down well.
But we rose above it, surviving to forage for breakfast in the morning and then another as we dodged the dreichy day.
