East Croydon rail station...
This busy train station hit the news this week, sadly the site of a fatal stabbing of a 16yr old youth. We’ve used it often and go through it on the tram. I used to teach at a school very nearby. Today it was business as usual with no signs of the awful happenings on Wednesday.
In a hotel nearby, I met with nine ex teaching colleagues from one local primary school for lunch. We stayed for three hours, catching up and looking forward.
We’re about to watch an extended News at Ten and at 11pm we will leave the EU. This morning The Archbishop of Canterbury asked that much patience, understanding and tolerance might be shown to those on a different side to ourselves, whichever that might be. I think it’s going to be an uncertain place to be for a long time.
