Kiwi Summer..... Swimmers at Picton...

Another hot day...33C in the shade in our porch. A late afternoon heat haze obscuring views of the Richmond Range and mountains up the Wairau Valley. Hannah and Catherine left late morning for Havelock and home. Friend Helen and I travelled to Picton to attend the opening of new Raukura Art Gallery... Lovely people and beautiful art works therein. Well done Ruth de Reus. Iced coffee to follow at Le Cafe. The stiff cool breeze that had sprung up did not deter a handful of swimmers in the sea at the foreshore.
