Emergency Gardening Blip!
I haven't taken any photos today and time is getting on!
I don't usually buy magazines - just occasionally a weekend newspaper.
However, at this time of year I start to get itchy (green!) fingers but the weather is so miserable and cold and Spring seems a long way off!
Anyway, we were in the supermarket and I passed the magazines and the Gardening ones jumped out at me.
I opted for the two cheapest ones - some were £5.99 and some even £9.99!
I thought they might give us some inspiration for our tiny back garden and just reading the articles cheers me up.
The first job is new fences which be quite costly I think.
Yesterday I ordered veg and flower seeds from a heritage seed company called The Real Seed Catalogue. They grow the plants and harvest the seeds themselves and they are 100% non genetically modified. Once I've placed an order, I feel excited waiting for them and look forward to sowing seeds and getting my hands dirty.
I've also been on Pinterest looking for ideas for small gardens, there are some amazing things on there.
My favourite veg to grow are carrots, tomatoes, lettuces and herbs but I usually grow spuds and onions and other veg.
My favourite flowers to grow are Calendula, pansies, roses, nasturtiums and various perennials.
Roll on Spring!
