Catch of the Day

.......... I had a well earned and much needed chilly stroll along the lakeside in the glorious sunshine. Hardly any wildlife on the main lake but I spotted this gull doing a bit of fishing for his lunch in one of the smaller side lakes ....... I marvelled at his prowess as he dived in and then hovered just above the waterline while he wrestled to get the fish out of the water ........ he dropped it a couple of times but instantly dived in and retrieved it again.........he eventually flew off with his prize and I dare say enjoyed a hard won meal :-)

Plus an extra showing a little bridge that I usually cross.........but thought better of it today ;-))
