Snow

Brrr! A cold day. Last night T gritted our hill and the farmyard with salt and cleared the snow away so this morning he drove the tractor and feeder wagon to the cattle yards with no trouble. Even the milkman delivered our two pints! The roads were slushy but I guess they will be icy tomorrow after the freeze-up tonight.

The hunt cancelled its meet but the farmers' shoot went ahead. Apparently there were a lot of locals out beating. I managed a short walk up the hill to the top of our lane but went no further since the roads were full of slushy snow.

Indoor activities: I finished reading my book, tried the weekend crossword and continued sewing the tapestry cushion cover. Having been homebound for the last six weeks, the snow makes little difference except for the lack of outdoor exercise.
Another four or five weeks and then I will be allowed to drive again.
