Restless

She deliberately wanted to go home. They came for painting the house and told me i could enter again today. I had a talk with her and said, well to will fetch You tomorrow. Then she became quiet for a while. After some time it started again and asked where is my key. We gave her some key we found.
Mostly some of our elderly people become restless in the  late afternoon.
The call it " Sundown syndrome". They want to go home and cook meals for their husband and children. Most we can do is postpone their departure or having a chat with them , . It feels sometimes helpless for us caretakers. Our people mostly live in the past. The now is verry vague.
Love empathy and patience can do a lot.
