My nearby favourite 'place' is the trail along the north Devon coast. It's a lovely long leisure cycle ride/walk and  has a variety of views. I've blipped it several times but typically, today has been dull and slightly misty, with the tide completely out when I went along.
The extra is Instow beach, which is just off the trail. In winter, canines almost outnumber humans.
