Pub lunch

Robert came today to take Archie out. And he's booked in for Friday! He's retired, and wants to get his step count up. Great! His coat was all muddy where a dog had jumped up on him, and he said, 'I met Trixie!' LOL.

We then went for lunch - JR and Archie walked across the Meadows, I got the bus. We met Rufus and his mum at 'Bobby's Bar'. I've always thought this pub, which trades on the name of Greyfriar's Bobby and is right by the statue and the graveyard, but is not dog friendly...

In fact, it has quietly come to its senses (new owners) and is now, rightly, welcoming to doggies (and their owners). Apparently, it has been for some time.

And it does a cracking pub lunch (Extra) - they specialise in pies of all sorts, and do Very Good Chips.

On the way home, we popped in to the Red Box for a coffee. Poor Archie - another bloomin' table to hang about under for far too long. Rufus is much more polite, and doesn’t mind at all.
