Wee lochan...

on the moor on a lovely sunny day. It is called loch an eilan, but the island mentioned has joined itself onto the bank over the years. It is surprisingly deep at 4 metres. I know these facts because a friend of mine swam there some years ago and planted a saltire on the island.
It was another good warm (9°) day.
The cottage just visible is called Heather Bell and is little more than a hovel these days, although lived in until fifteen years ago!
