Culture or what?

We made it. "TheJudas Kiss" was brilliant. I've always liked Rupert Everett but this portrayal of Oscar Wilde and the strange dilemmas in his life was unforgettable.

London has snow but the pavements are so busy it hasn't really got in the way of very much.

We went out for breakfast and then spent time in the National Gallery. My friend commented that she'd forgotten how many famous paintings are in there. Impressionists, two Caravaggios, the Stubbs horse, Constable, Turner's Fighting Temeraire and others, plus Monet.

The blip is of a Claude Monet fridge magnet! Found cut price (but not bought) in the shop.

Called in to see the new Kate Middleton portrait in the National Portrait Gallery. It's much better than in the nasty press shots. And they've placed it close to the video of David Beckham sleeping. Now that is real art :-)

Leisurely lunch. Resting now, before a nice meal and a recital at the Royal Festival Hall.

I'd been looking forward to this break for ages. I'm so pleased the snow didn't scupper it all.

Enjoy your Saturdays, blip friends xxx
