Sally Mair - Loving life

Grandstanding

Katy brought the girls round for Sunday dinner today. Eilidh passed the time beforehand watching the Hibs Match. Her soon to be Uncle Stuart would be proud of her. I was amused by the way she'd lined up the chairs as if she was in the stand. Church this morning and we discovered when we got there that some of the fuses had blown so we had no heating at all and no organ. A quick decamp into the church hall and we were lovely and warm. Our celebrant this morning took it all in his 87 year old stride, he was our Rector from 1963-83 so was very comfortable and relaxed with us.
I went to the rectory next to do some bits and pieces including putting some new sticky backed plastic onto some of the shelves, life is full of such satisfying moments! Bring back Blue Peter, they always had lots of exciting ideas for sticky backed plastic!
Next it was back home to pick up Colin and we went down to Lidl, what an exciting life we lead. A lovely afternoon with the girls, they liked the sparkly bejeweled and besequined leggings I'd bought them - how to be a popular grandma - and the leggings were bargains in the Monsoon sale, an excellent result!
This evening Colin and I watched Vera, we are late converts though and are only watching series 3 which our Tivo box has kindly recorded for me along with all of the next seven series.
Thanks for all the stars and comments on my Forth Bridge yesterday very much appreciated.
