To complete yesterday's saga, we finally took off at 7.30pm UK time... We were coming in to land at Salzburg at 10pm local time as promised... when the nose came up and we did a full circuit of the airport and tried again. The captain said there was a technical issue... Very comforting!
Anyway - landed safely and through to baggage reclaim. There was a plane load of folk bound for Manchester who were re-collecting their luggage as they weren't going to fly - they were about to be taken to hotels in Salzburg to try again this morning, poor souls.
Arrived at our hotel at 3am, to be met by the lovely staff, who had provided a plate of food in our room. Managed to get up for a 9am breakfast, and had a short day's skiing up in Galtur. Very enjoyable despite the weather - snow all day, just lifting a bit in this shot. The Black #1 run was rather nice, but we didn't do too much as on top of the lack of sleep we are both still less than 100% fit :)
Just had a snooze, followed by a lovely afternoon tea. Sun tomorrow...

PS thanks for all the supportive comments yesterday - blipping helped me live through the tedium of the long delays!
