Otherworldly
It was a bitterly cold 12f and blowing hard today, despite which half the lake remained unfrozen with choppy waves. A tongue of ice protruded from the main sheet and slowly drifted away after braking free. Under clear skies the water was very dark, almost black, and the ice a light blue with snow patches. It certainly felt like a remote planet surface.
I tried a few compositions with the ice using my long telephoto, but the extreme foreshortening made it hard to get anything sharp. Maybe that adds to the atmosphere.
I also post for yesterday today.
