LA PORTE DE HAL

Got the Metro to the Porte de Hal this morning & walked up the hill to the Parvis de St. Gilles where I bought something I've been dreaming of for some time - a shopping caddy! (see extra)...

Thought it was about time I acted my age! - I love it - so much more handy than lugging those dreaded "bags for life". I took it to the Delhaize & filled it up with goodies & trundled it home smiling all the way!

The Porte de Hal is the sole remaining city gate from medieval times - it's an impressive pile of stone - presently a museum.
