Fantail Child

The black fantail continues to tease me by flying to within 10cm of me and dashing away, making a racket at the same time. I was trying to get photos of it when a juvenile joined the parent. It is dark now, but it will probably change to a pied colouring like the other parent. (I wish I could tell which is the mum and which the dad.) The chick is already skilled at catching insects in flight.

I did get a shot of the black with its ragged tail wide open, but it jerked its head at the wrong moment. See extra shot.
