The local saltwater pool was scheduled for draining and cleaning this morning and as Sophia and Marcus had swum in the pool almost every day of their holiday we took them down to see the pool in its empty state, then again near high tide for their last swim of this holiday visit.

The extra shows my grandchildren surveying the empty pool - at their favourite swimming end.


The saltwater baths, Motueka Beach, NZ, were originally constructed in 1938 with modifications 1940 - 1950, 1952 and in 1992 the floor of the baths was concreted, a toddlers pool was constructed and decking was also added.
