For Sally
Feeling very sad today as I found out that my friend Sally passed away on Monday. She had MS and had tried so hard to fight the horrible illness that gradually took away all her independence. She still managed to stay cheerful supported by her amazing family who she was very proud of, including her very young grandchildren who brought the biggest smiles.
I’ve known Sally for around 30 years and although we did not see each other much since we both moved we kept in contact through Facebook and Sally always sent me a Christmas card with a robin on , a printed label with our address on and a sticker inside as she could no longer write.
We had worked together, with another good friend Terri, running a Preschool in Hemel. We had fun times as well as times that were stressful. We had organised Play Schemes and she helped at the Children's clubs that I set up.We worked well together , we were on the same wavelength.
We met up several times when we were down enjoying cream teas and the extra photo was taken on a hot , sunny afternoon at Sally’s house. We had a fantastic afternoon remembering the old days and plenty of laughs too, I shall remember Sally like this, RIP dear friend :(.
