Little angel

Visited St Nicholas churchyard in Chislehurst. This beautiful Victorian stone angel caught my eye among the more austere gravestones.

We have often searched for the headstone of Sir Malcolm Campbell (11.3.1885 - 31.12.1948) the Britsh racing motorist. His vehicles were called Blue Bird , and he gained world speed records on land and water during the 1920s and 1930s

Today, we located it almost next to the angel.

A sad time for us, as yesterday our dear old cat, Soft Cell, passed on to cat heaven. He went peacefully in his sleep and we were prepared for this as he was diagnosed with terminal kidney disease two months ago.
Like all our cats (now we have only two) he was a rescued cat from the neighbouring Animal Rescue, and he adopted us with no documentation or history. He was elderly but we didnt know his age. RIP dear Soft Cell.
