Tweed

The journey back up to Edinburgh was not as straightforward as it should have been; my booked train was cancelled so I had to improvise with another train as far as Newcastle and then change. The disruption had been caused by a fatality near York; youngie66 got caught up in the delays too. The countryside looked stunning, heavy hoarfrost covering all the trees and quite dazzling in the sunshine. By the time we reached Berwick, though, there was no frost and very little snow to be seen.

Edit: I only just noticed my blip from exactly two years ago!
