I took a train down to London, where I met up with L and we went to the Green Note for the evening. The gig officially belonged to the False Beards (who did a very good turn too), but there was a special guest appearance from our old friend Shelagh; her first proper gig in approx 40 years. There were people there who'd travelled further than I to see her - at least one from Sweden and one from Los Angeles. She was a bit nervous but sang and played really well - she still has a beautiful voice and still uses amazingly complex guitar arrangements, including a cracking version of the Rigs o' Rye. The audience were mesmerised.

A memorable evening.
