Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Ma made it

I bought some Seville oranges last week not actually knowing whether I could be bothered making marmalade and today I decided I could. Church this morning where it is still cold but manageable, our heating crisis is not going to have a quick solution I fear.
We have such a friendly congregation and today we were all celebrating the birth of a first granddaughter, such excitement.
I popped into Tesco and picked up a couple of rolls so we could have our traditional Sunday lunch of bacon rolls, today with added mushroom, delicious.
I settled down after that to making the marmalade, it tastes like a good batch and I've remembered to make a small jar to take out India with me. There's is nothing like the taste of home made marmalade and it's so much less sweet than that found in hotels. I only have toast while I'm in transit, so I want it to be good.
