'We are what we do.'

By Hasywell

So much fun!

For Jem, Millie and Sasha!

It snowed from 1am until 10am this morning. I won't admit that the dogs and I had our first walk in the fields at half past two this morning! Or that we were then back out at half past five! With an even longer walk once day light had arrived!

It is amazing how localised the snow fall can be - 3 miles down the road and there was no snow just sleet and rain. I did have to close one school due to staff not being able to get in. It was of those hard calls however I do not feel I can ask a member of staff to put themselves at risk by driving in difficult conditions.

At home we had no power for a few hours and then there was an accident on the very sharp bend outside.

I hope that you all are managing to keep safe and warm if caught up in the weather.

Three beautiful things:
The stillness of the snow.
The birds feasting on their bird food in the garden!
Jem and Millie loving all the white stuff.

Three things to be grateful for:
The large heavy branch laden with snow did miss the car (literally by inches) when it came crashing to the ground.

The man who crashed his car wasn't hurt.

My friend is home safe and sound after a horrendous 3 hr journey.
