fungi
Busy day today. We cycled to the big DIY store on the other side of the River Rance. It's not very far and mostly by quiet streets, except once awkward section when we cross the river on the barrage, where the cycle provision is frankly rubbish. The trip was uneventful until we ran into a horse and a donkey that has escaped from their paddock and were walking down the middle of the road. Most of the car drivers were clueless and not very helpful, but with someone who had an idea and my better half who has worked with horses in the past, we were able to round them up and pu them somewhere safe.
Today's back blip is a fungi colony growing on a tree stump in the garden. The tree had been felled before we moved in, but it has taken the fungi quite some time to soften it up and produce this fruiting body mass. The extra is another picture from a slightly different angle
