Field of gold

I left Moeraki early as I needed to be in Rolleston by 10.30. , but still left myself time to head down to Palmerston before heading north.

Bought a coffee and drove out to Bushey to share it with Blaze. As always when I stop here with coffee I drink most of it and pour the last mouthful for him on the ground.

As usual at this time of year, his cross is backed by a lovely sea of ripening grains. Not quite ripe yet but I'm not likely to get the opportunity to visit again before its harvested.

Quick trip from there to Rolleston, making it just in time for my appointment. Then I picked Sarah and Sebastian up and drove to Hanmer. Finished the day with a 2 hour soak in the hit pools. Feeling all relaxed now.
