She's up!

The PT and a nurse were able to use a hoyer lift to swing my mom from bed to this wheelchair. There was no apparent pain in the transfer. Hurray.

Now the question is, will she try to stand? Will this lead to another fall? After wheeling her around for a while, including a trip outside in the 30-degree weather (bundled up), I told staff to keep an eye on her. Fingers crossed she can spend a good part of every day getting a little more stimulation. I'm game to take her out and about on the bus, too.
